Cilantro jalapeno ranch is a delicious and versatile condiment that can enhance and take the flavor of any dish to the next level. I use this cilantro jalapeno ranch as a dressing, dipping sauce and as a spread. It can be used in numerous different dishes and adds the perfect bright, creamy and spicy flavor to any dish. I personally love pairing it with french fries, salads and my air fryer masala chicken wings. You can also make this as a way to use up that bunch of cilantro that is about to go bad and has been sitting in the fridge. The ranch seasoning that I always use in and ranch recipe or recipe in general that requires ranch seasoning is from the company Hidden Valley. If you are not familiar, it is in my opinion the most well known and popular ranch brand in the United States and my personal ranch seasoning to use. Instead of having to buy the individual tear apart packets at the store every time I want to use it, I purchase the big bottle of seasoning at Costco. It is more economical and saves me from having to run to the store every single time I want to make this recipe, which is often. Another rule I like to implement when making this dish is keeping a tab on the expiration dates on the sour cream and mayonnaise. The most common question I get when making this sauce or any sauce, is how long does it last? I typically like to say one week but you also have to keep in mind when using dairy products like sour cream that they sometimes expire quicker. Therefore my rule of thumb is one week unless the sour cream tub or mayonnaise has a date of expiration before that week. This ranch is a familiar recipe as many people in my comments and DMs have either compared it to the Chuy’s sauce (a Tex Mex restaurant) or the dressing that comes with the salad at El Pollo Loco. Having had both I can agree, but I may be biased in saying that I think this recipe is better. Roasting the jalapeno takes the ranch to the next level. It adds a layer of smokiness and flavor that you would not be able to achieve if you just blended it raw. Also, I have noticed the longer it sits in the fridge, the longer the flavors of the ranch marry together so it only gets better with time! I hope you love this recipe as much as I do and my DMs are always open for any tips you may want/need…happy cooking!
