A twist on a classic chicken wing flavor! My air fryer miso garlic parmesan wings are the perfect mix of salty and umami that make the perfect appetizer or snack. Per usual, I had to make these in my air fryer which has by far become my most used appliance in my kitchen. It has gotten to the point where at least one aspect of my day to day meals is made in the air fryer. So anytime I am making chicken wings it is a no brainer for me to pop them into the air fryer. It is also much more convenient than deep frying and I find that it gives it a better crisp than you would get from baking them. I have used several different air fryers and my favorite brand and model is from Cuisinart, it is an air fryer and toaster oven in one! I also love to pair these wings with some fried rice and some sort of steamed vegetable. It can be turned into a well balanced meal or be served with some ranch as an appetizer. They are great to have marinated at the beginning of the week and then you can make the sauce while they are cooking in the airfryer. It saves you so much time whether it is for a family gathering or a weeknight meal alone. The longer they marinate the deeper and better the taste gets. The umami flavor from the miso creates depth and complexity to the dish. Meanwhile, the garlic gives the wings that fragrant aroma and caramelizes with the soy sauce and butter giving it yet another layer of flavor. Lasty, the finely grated parmesan cheese gives it that salty bite and the parsley gives it the brightness to bring it all together. These wings are an amazing and different way to use up the tub of miso paste in your fridge. It is also another chicken wing recipe that isn't a part of your usual buffalo, barbeque and cajun rotation. It is also amazing to have chicken wings with having to deep fry them and you are not scarifying on the crispness or flavor that you crave in chicken wings. Lastly, it is something that you can make whenever you are in a pinch and just need something that you know will satisfy you. I hope you love this recipe as much as I do and my DMs are always open for any tips you may want/need…happy cooking!
